Why fashion, WHY!

Fashion is exciting, its new. And most of all it's different.
But some things just don't make sense...like...

1. Not being able to buy Miu Miu's shoe of the season anywhere, in any of the prints, in the clog or the Mary Jane style.

2. That a teenage blogger gets to be sit front row at fashion shows (yes, we are talking about you Tavi).

3. That the latest Louis Vuitton campaign features three past their sell by date footballers. No fashion, just footballers.

4. Why wearing your hair in a top knot like you are 5 years old again is cool.

5. That Selfridges have only just opened their online store, 101 years after actually opening.

6. Why celebrities think its okay to give their children stupid names. Apple, Bluebell, Sunday, Suri? is there a need?.

7. That Gwyneth Paltrow hides the worlds best legs unless its the premiere of her new film ¨Iron man 2¨.

8. Why the most watched video's on youtube are on complete nobodies.

9. That regardless of how ridiculous the trend, if it's in the new Sex and City movie women will buy it.

9. Por qué a pesar de lo ridículo de la tendencia, si sale en Sex and The city, probablemente toda la ciudad lo comprará.

Me pregunto por qué.

Barbara Garcia. The fashion film.

This is my good friend the model Barbara Garcia, she's Spain's hottest export right now. Living in New York and mixing circles with the coolest of cool, Barbara is the living envy of girls everywhere. I love her in this amazing fashion film, directed by her boyfriend Vincent Lacrocq in her New York apartment.

The kinda scary fashion edginess she has is alluring and fierce. Her strong features and sharp face keep all eyes on her. You can find this video, along with many others on my youtube channel.
.I have been lucky enough to shoot Barbara and my other beautiful friend and model Cristina Tosio in Madrid for these stunning photo's of them both above .

Barbara is wearing a necklace from my Unborn collection.

These necklaces come from no place know to human existence, they come from the place of no return.
Wear your devil may care attitude with pride, display it for all to see and become the goddess of the underworld.
No one but you decides whether you're a saint or a sinner, choose your own fate.
Grant your place in the next world today and be welcomed to the dark side with open arms.

These three limited edition necklaces inspired by my travels to New York earlier this month will be coming exclusively to UK customer via my website very shortly. You can also buy it now here , with reference - Cruise2010

Just when fashion was beginning to come to terms with the horrific death of Alexander McQueen, his last collection was revealed to the world. A collection more beautiful than anything before. Every piece was 80% completely handmade by McQueen before he committed suicide, as the presentation was a lasting memory of what fashion will not forget. The low key, very exclusive showings were a far cry from the theatrical productions the brand normally puts on, but they were in no way any less dramatic. As the majority of the audience left in tears, the atmosphere of deep sorrow could not be lifted despite the garments rich presence.
It becomes apparent now that Lee Mcqueen was a troubled man, having been quoted saying that he was 'driven by his insecurities and that he believed that all successful people were'. He created a way to engage with the emotions of the wearer of the garment, making you feel special inside, perhaps in the way that he wanted to feel special himself. This episode is a harsh look at how you can be at the height of you career and appear to have achieved all that you have ever dreamed off, yet still be so miserable inside.
The most shocking thing is the brutality of his suicide. Found hanging in his wardrobe, he clearly wanted to spare himself no pain, it is a heartbreaking representation on the way he was feeling. It's said that there is a very fine line between genius and insanity and McQueen was obviously bordering it.
The presentation closed with 'Each piece was Unique, as was he' in a remarkable tribute to his imagination and his life altogether.

McQueen died on the 11th February 2010, in the same month i was featured in UK Elle discussing how Mcqueen was the inspiration behind my personal style as well as my jewellery collections.

t
